Keypads and input systems

metalTouch® enables touch functions on refined metal. With metalLight®, the operating elements are backlit in color. Various aluminum and stainless steel alloys are available. These can be further refined by galvanic treatment and/or selective grinding and brushing processes. Combined with capacitive or piezo touch functions, operating systems are created to meet the highest demands.

Our tactile metal keypads (aluminum/stainless steel) have very flat numeric and alphanumeric input modules. They are particularly suitable for cash and non-cash applications in the public sector. These include ATMs and payment terminals (POS), ticket and info/internet terminals and other indoor and outdoor kiosk applications. They are robust, reliable and secure and meet the requirements of international certification organizations.

The patented Everswitch® piezo technology enables the construction of robust control units for the highest demands. It guarantees functionally reliable switching without moving parts behind closed and decorated metal surfaces made of aluminum or stainless steel. The encapsulated unit comprising the operating surface, sensors and electronics complies with protection class IP68 all round.

With short-stroke keypads, combinations of individual operating elements and displays work together reliably. They are well visible and tactile behind the environmentally sealed cover foil. Unlike membrane keypads, additional display instruments and control devices can be integrated: e.g. emergency stop, key switch, etc.
